What was your major or field of study in college? Did you wind up working in that field or using that degree? If not, what field have you wound up in?

Well this a good one - I think I addressed it in my intro post - but it bears repeating. My undergraduate degree is in American Studies and German Lit. After a few months of temping and waitressing - I took a job at a large financial services firm and went on the learned the business and eventually got my securities license.

Now I am working on what should have been my goal then - being a writer. I want to tell stories and ideally get paid for the pleasure.

A professor in the American Studies program used to say, "American Studies, eh We got nothing." It was tongue and cheek but I have found I do in fact have something to share....
